LPG is an environmentally friendly fuel, so it is often called "green fuel". Pollutant emissions from a LPG engine are reduced compared to gasoline:
- CO2 production at least 14% less
- Up to 68% less emission of NO (NOx) and 40% in hydrocarbons
- Virtually no production of particulate matter when driving in the city
- LPG does not contain benzene and lead, two of the most harmful components of other fuels
